Let’s set the stage first- Always come from a place of help. Having the conversations that tend to be “hard” isn’t hard when you genuinely want to help.
What is a Change Agent [6:24]
A Change Agent is someone who helps others to have a different thought.
Someone is always buying something- They are either buying your product/service or your buying their excuses [8:00]
#1 Pain the Vision [10:18]
Paint the vision for them! Help them see they can do this in bite-size pieces, help them look beyond the right here and right now to January. How do they want to feel? How will their lives be better than because they started now?
#2 Taxes [12:41]
Remind them they can use certain things as a tax write-off. If you want to make it a real no-brainer and you offer monthly subscriptions, offer a small savings of 5% to help them invest now.
#3 Overcoming the objection - I am so busy [13:28]
You have to help them see themselves in your process. Answer the questions about time commitment, and what are you doing to take the workload. How are you lessening that next step so it’s not a cliff you asking them to step off of, but a baby step?
#4 Challenge them from a place of care/help[15:35]
Gently reference conversations from the client prep you have done. Pain the vision of how doing things gets them no closer to thier goals. Bring it back to them. You told me [client] xyz, what would that do for your family if you had that by January instead of waiting?
#5 Use your calendar [17:00]
Some people are visual learners and connecting emotion to time always helps.
